Who is Sherpa Financial?
Sherpa Financial is a partnership of highly experienced financial advisors who share a common philosophy for supporting clients in meeting their financial goals. Sherpa is new, but our intertwining philosophies and respect for the integrity of what we do is ancient. We come together, blending a wealth 118 years of combined experience in financial services and providing personal financial guidance.
Sherpa is an excellent marriage of talents. Our Sherpa advisors have spent many years of their careers combining their talent with others of the same philosophy - a constructive, ethical process of managing assets and creating family plans that survive generations.
Working inter-generationally within families’ lives to guide their future progress through their careers, and into meaningful retirements, aging, and passing philosophy and assets in a stewardly and tax-wise manner to children and grandchildren, has been a source of great satisfaction to all.
What Drives Our Business is these lifelong relationships. We have only one life, and our contemporaries influence what kind of world we build, and leave to our future generations.
We are here to be your Sherpas, guiding you up the mountain, and carefully down the other side.
Our Guiding Philosophy
We think you have the capability to guide your life, however the financial, legal, and tax structures are complicated. We are guides, coaching you about how to remove the obstacles to fluid lifestyles that allow individuals, businesses, and families to utilize their financial assets in the best possible manner, and cease worrying about money.
What is a Sherpa?
A Sherpa is a member of a people of Tibetan descent living on the southern side of the Himalaya Mountains in Nepal and Sikkim. In modern times Sherpas have achieved world renown as expert guides on Himalayan mountaineering expeditions. They are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local terrain. A Sherpa is a guide, a porter, one who knows the risks, provisions needed, and all the details to making a successful trip. Sherpas are deeply valued for their determination, and their fierce loyalty to their clients.
And, Coming Down the Other Side of the Mountain is just as important as going up. In fact, a trip up Mt. Everest normally takes about 2 weeks, but coming down takes about 5 weeks and is the most dangerous part of the trip. Depressurizing and re-acclimatizing are absolutely necessary to re-enter into the "normal" world (the one we are used to) without harm. More damage can occur on the way down than on the way up.
Sherpa Financial Advisors, like the mountain guides who help those attempting to scale Mt. Everest, assist clients in all phases of their financial lives. Similar to a mountain ascent, saving and investing requires determination and discipline,as well as appropriate risk management. Retirement is often a challenging period, like the descent from the mountain, requiring careful planning and skillful execution to meet the level of income and legacy gifting that each client desires to attain.
Sherpa Financial Advisors are dedicated to providing their clients with the level of support required to meet the challenges of accumulating, managing and transferring wealth.
